Final Impressions Hands down, I LOVE my propane. It runs at any angle, is easy to tune, is reliable, my engine runs cooler and cleaner, I never have problems with sloshing fuel, and it performs GREAT! And when I wheel with guys who spent $2400+ on their fuel injection, I grin knowing that I spent 1/4 of that on LPG that runs just as good, if not better! Currently, I am working on a way to more easily fill my tanks. Options that I am considering are buying cheap used tanks to bring as spares on the trail or one larger tank to attach to my trailer or carry in my truck bed that would be able to fill my current tanks. If you are interested in converting to LPG, here are some great links that helped me out a lot during my conversion:
The largest manufacturer of propane engine components in the world.
Very knowledgeable, and nice, propane performance store. Unfortunately, it is located in Canada which makes shipping a little more complicated. But he offers rebuilt and new components for bargain prices.
DO A SEARCH! A lot of the guys on this BBS run LPG on their rigs. If the question hasn't been answered yet, go ahead and ask. You're likely to get an answer quick!
Do It Yourself Automotive LPG Conversion This guy uses an LPG-fueled car for his daily driver and loves it! His page contains a ton of information about LPG conversions.
